Moratti, Toldo in Kuwait for Ramadan tournament

document.write('KUWAIT - Inter president Massimo Moratti and club ambassador Francesco Toldo were special guests of the Kuwaiti authorities for the final day of the 31st edition of the Al-Roudan Ramadan Indoor Football Tournament at the Martyr Fahad Stadium. Traditionally held during the holy month of Ramadan, the tournament is a tribute to the late Abdullah Meshary Al-Roudan, and honours the first generation of Kuwaitis who founded the modern State of Kuwait. Despite the great heat, over 3,500 fans awaited Tuesday\'s arrival of Moratti and Toldo, who brought with them all three trophies won by Inter last season. In his welcoming speech at the stadium this afternoon the president - speaking in Arabic - passed on his wishes for a joyous Ramadan and thanked the people of Kuwait for their warm support for Inter. After the president, tournament organiser Mr. Khaled Nasser Al-Roudan gave his speech, before an exchange of gifts. Yesterday morning, Moratti and Toldo were received by Sheikh Fahad Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister of Economic Affairs and President of the Asian Olympics Committee in the splendid Seef Palace, while east met west again today in the grandiose halls of the Bayan Palace, where the president and former goalkeeper had the honour of meeting the Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; the Crown Prince, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; and the state\'s Oil Minister, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah.');

Rincon, a Brazilian defender born in 1987, came through the ranks at San Paolo and captained his Under-17 national team before arriving in Italy in 2006. After a season at Empoli in which he made two appearances in the UEFA Cup and Coppa Italia, he spent two seasons in Serie B, first with Ancona (27 appearances, 1 goal) and then with Piacenza last term (33 games, 1 goal). "We have started the season with a draw in the last three years, it seems to have brought us luck because we have won the championship every time; so fingers crossed," said Moratti. "It\'s clear that there have been important changes on a tactical and psychological level, because the people, like myself, still think about the team at its best at the end of last season, but the new season has only just started, so we need the intelligence and the patience to understand that we will gradually improve.
